Hello Scotland!!
After 14 hours of flight (bloody long, i know), the first thing I said as I stepped out into Edinburgh airport was, "Holy shit its SO COLD!". Coming from a 30-33 Degree Celsius country, I knew that it's definitely gonna take some time to get myself adjusted to the weather and seasons. As for now, I'm just gonna turn myself into a burrito of sweaters.
What am I doing in Scotland? I wish I could say I'm here to just travel but I actually got an offer to do my Msc here in the University of Dundee! (yeay)
I can't wait to go into more detail on my first week in Dundee (wow 1 week already?!) and how I settled in with my accommodation, getting to know my flat mates, adjusting to the weather, things I did and the problems I faced as an international student. So stay tuned for my next post on Dundee updates! I was supposed to post it up today but I got a bit backtracked with the video editing (yes guys, I tried to vlog a little so bare with me). Dundee is sucha beautiful city (even more beautiful when its sunny!) and it is now my home away from home.
Back to the the title of this post, I thought of posting up my short trip with my lovely mom & dad to St. Andrews instead. It was a fantastic sunny evening and we decided to not waste any minute of it and take a 30 minute bus ride to the captivating town, St. Andrews.

As we didn't have ample of time to really go around the town, we made the most out of our trip by checking out the famous spots/landmarks as recommended by the locals and a friendly cab driver.
First off, FOOD!
Mom was craving for fish N chips and we heard that there is a restaurant called Tailend in St.Andrews that has one of the best fish N chips. And Oh boy, they surely did not disappoint with their big, filling and delicious portions!

Crispy and fleshy battered Haddock served with chips, coleslaw and homemade tartar sauce. LAWWDDD!
Next up, we checked out St. Andrews castle. To be honest, I was so captivated by the beauty of the castle ruins and it's landscape, that I completely forgot to truly understand the actual history behind it (how dumb of me).

Mom: Stand there and I will take a picture
Me : Okay but hold on, i'll just keep the bottle in my bag and...
Mom: *snaps a pic* I think I got a good shot
Walking around castle ruins was surely tiring :P So naturally we deserved a treat and by treat, I mean ICE CREAM!

There is SO MANY ice cream flavours to choose from Jannettas Gelateria that I almost lost my mind. Creamy & delish!
Our trip was short but we had a great time and I would deff be back for dem ice creams (lol). St. Andrews is a small town with a lot of beauty and charm. In love with how the old blends in with the new.
A short vlog of our short trip:
Peace out!
